SBEF & Volunteers Beautify Our Schools

SBEF has officially wrapped up our Community Pride Project Days at our schools this school year!

We couldn’t have done it without the over one hundred volunteers who rolled up their sleeves and put in the hard work of beautifying our school campuses!

We also want to thank the District’s Facilities & Maintenance crew for partnering with us on this program, and to San Bruno’s Grand Leader Deli & Market for providing us with delicious lunches we provided for volunteers.

Here’s what we accomplished at each school:

Allen: We worked on the new school garden, including installing an irrigation system and planting veggies and herbs

Belle Air: We helped build out the school’s new “Zen Den,” a special room where students can receive psychosocial support

John Muir: We painted games and lines/directions on the blacktop, and did weeding around campus

Parkside: We did weeding and planting, and spruced up the library

Portola: We painted games on the blacktop and weeded the school garden
