SBEF loves our San Bruno teachers!
Another way the San Bruno Education Foundation supports our public schools is by funding professional development opportunities for the District’s teachers.
During the 2018–19 school year, we supported numerous professional development opportunities focused on Next Generation Science Standards and STEM (Science, Technology Engineering & Math) training. This school year, we raised $5,000 during our 2019 Giving Tuesday campaign to train our elementary school teachers in cutting-edge STEM teaching methods.
Our teachers are the ultimate impact-makers for our school system. Beyond teaching our children the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in life, they provide life lessons and help our kids grow into successful contributors to our community.
