Makiko Sato joined the Board of the San Bruno Education Foundation this spring and has taken over the role of treasurer from Renee Callantine, who held the position for many years.
With twin daughters in first grade at John Muir Elementary, she has worked as a consultant to California school districts for over 15 years with a focus on planning and implementing responsible and sustainable bond programs.
As treasurer, she hopes to continue Renee’s good work and uphold the SBEF’s efficient and transparent financial processes.
“I am excited to be volunteering with SBEF, so that I can do my part to help the school district provide a well-rounded educational experience for its students,” Makiko says.
