Heather Latta,
President

Heather has worked for over a decade for the federal government, serving as an auditor of international affairs and trade programs. She is passionate about public education and wants to help support the district in providing equitable access to engaging educational experiences. She and her husband have two children in the San Bruno Park School District.

Alexis Petru,
Vice President

Alexis has spent the last 15 years helping companies, government agencies and publications communicate the message of sustainability better. She joined the SBEF because she believes strongly in the importance of public education and has always been impressed by the "City with a Heart's" sense of community. She and her husband have two children in the San Bruno Park School District.

Annie Yoshiyama,
Treasurer

Annie has worked in finance and accounting at biotech and tech companies in the San Francisco Bay Area for almost 20 years. She is a licensed CPA in the state of California. Annie enjoys being involved with local youth-focused organizations. She and her husband have two children, one currently and one incoming, in the San Bruno Park School District.

Amando Balbuena,
Secretary

Amando grew up in San Bruno and was a student of the San Bruno Park School District from K - 8. He lives in San Bruno with his family and both of his children attend elementary school in the district. He is passionate about improving children's outcomes through education, extracurricular activities, and strengthening adult capabilities that together are essential to a lifelong love of learning. Amando heads up marketing for an investment management firm that invests to generate competitive returns alongside positive social and environmental impact. 

Ashley Bragg,
Board Member

Ashley has spent more than 15 years working in healthcare and community education, with a focus on supporting patients and families facing serious illness. She joined the San Bruno Education Foundation because she believes strong public schools strengthen the entire community and wants to help expand access to engaging and equitable programs for all students in the San Bruno Park School District. Ashley and her husband live in San Bruno and have one child in the district.

Scott Curtner,
Board Member

Scott is an IT Audit Leader for Wells Fargo and also manages rental investments in California, Colorado, and Arizona. His goal is to increase opportunities for all children in the San Bruno Park School District, almost 50% of whom are in low-income families. He and his wife have two children who have graduated from the San Bruno Park School District.

Kingsley Ma,
Board Member

Kingsley went through K-12 in the public school system and has spent the last 20 years building software in early and late stage startups as an engineer and as a product leader. He joined SBEF to help create and nurture programs that increase equitable education across the school district. He also volunteers regularly at the local elementary school and for the Pacifica Sea Lion's swim team. He and his wife have two children in the San Bruno Park School District.
