Meet Our Board: Scott Curtner

You may recognize Scott Curtner from him jogging around the Crestmoor 2 neighborhood with a tire chained to his waist!

But Scott Curtner is also the President of the San Bruno Education Foundation and has served on the Board for over six years. He is most proud of helping the SBEF increase donations from $10,000 a year when he started to over $600,000 last year.

Scott has a daughter in 8th grade at Parkside Intermediate and son in 5th grade at John Muir Elementary. He is an IT Audit Leader for Wells Fargo and has also managed rental investments in California, Colorado and Arizona for 20 years.

There are three reasons Scott volunteers for the SBEF:

“One is that I see how many of San Bruno’s kids aren’t as lucky as mine, so I feel a duty to help where I can. Two is that I love hearing when our Education Foundation helps bring about positive change though collaborating with community leaders, teachers and families. Three is the joy I feel when we successfully bridge the generosity of our donors to the most valuable and effective programs benefiting such a diverse range of San Bruno’s children.”
