Congratulations to community member and John Muir parent Michelle Carranza for partnering with SBEF and the School District to organize such a successful Parkside Beautification event Parkside Intermediate on Saturday, July 30!
Many community members showed up to spruce up the campus before the first day of school: Mayor of San Bruno Rico Medina, City Council members, parents, students, School Board trustees, SBEF Board members, and Lions and Rotary Club members. The volunteers planted over 200 plants in the front of campus, as well as installed new locks on all student lockers.
Michelle said her goal was to “breathe life and love” into San Bruno’s intermediate school.
SBEF is proud to have funded the beautification supplies, and we want to thank Michelle for her work on the project. We would also like to thank the School District for collaborating with community members on this event.
This was yet another example of the San Bruno community coming together to support our schools, our kids and our San Bruno community!
