Congratulations to the students who participated in SBEF’s and the District’s 4th annual Lego Robotics Competition on April 19, 2026!
Since December, 115 5th-8th graders from our elementary schools and Parkside met weekly to work in teams to design, build, and program their robots, following the First Lego League Curriculum.
At the final competition this past Sunday, the 5th grade teams across all elementary schools competed against each other, while the Parkside teams competed against each other. In a series of timed two-and-a-half minute rounds, the teams completed their missions and could earn points for teamwork, accuracy, and number of missions completed. The teams were observed and judged by volunteers from biotech company Abbvie, local colleges, and the Nueva High School robotics teacher.
Congrats to our competition winners!
