SBEF’s 2nd Annual Lego Robotics Competition 2024

Congratulations to the students who participated in SBEF’s and the District’s 2nd annual Lego Robotics Competition on April 24, 2024!

From October to April, over seventy 5th-8th graders from our elementary schools and Parkside met weekly to work in teams to design, build, and program their robots, following the First Lego League Curriculum.

At the final competition in April, the 5th grade teams across all elementary schools competed against each other, while the Parkside teams competed against each other. In a series of timed two-minute rounds, the teams completed their missions and could earn points on teamwork, accuracy, and number of missions completed. The teams were observed and judged by volunteers from biotech company Abbvie and the Nueva School robotics team.

Congrats to our competition winners!
