SBEF Hosts School Beautification Days

SBEF has officially wrapped up the beautification days at our schools this year, and we couldn’t have done it without the over one hundred volunteers who rolled up their sleeves and put in the hard work!

We also want to thank the District’s Facilities & Maintenance crew for collaborating with us on these events, nonprofit Each Green Corner for their partnership on our school gardens, and San Bruno’s Grand Leader Deli & Market for providing us with discounts on many of the delicious lunches we provided for volunteers.

Here’s what we accomplished at each school:

Allen: We worked on the new school garden, including assembling a shade structure, weeding, and pruning.

Belle Air: We painted games on the blacktop and assembled a greenhouse for the school garden.

John Muir: We painted the MPR and bathrooms, and weeded the 4th grade garden.

Parkside: We did power washing and planting around campus.

Portola: We made signs and decor for the school garden, organized PE equipment sheds, and painted library carts.
